Tungsten rod is manufactured as random length pieces or cut to customers' desired lengths. Standard diameter and length tolerances are listed as follows. Other, closer tolerances can be quoted on request. In addition, there are three different surface processes or finishes which are provided, depending upon the desired end use.
Tungsten rod Surface Finish
Black - Surface is "as swaged" or "as drawn"; retaining a coating of processing lubricants and oxides.
Cleaned - Surface is chemically cleaned to remove all lubricants and oxides.
Ground - Surface is centerless ground to remove all coating and to achieve precise diameter control.

It also features outstanding room-temperature resistance against most acids and alkalis, suiting harsh corrosive chemical environments.
Thanks to these superior thermal, mechanical and anti-corrosion properties, our tungsten rods stand as the top pick for multiple critical scenarios: stable-arc TIG welding electrodes, semiconductor thin-film deposition targets, and heat-resistant structural parts for rocket engines.
We support full customized manufacturing:

Maximum length: 3000 mm
Strict dimensional tolerance: ±0.01 mm
Multiple surface treatments are optional: raw forged black finish, ground finish (Ra 0.8 μm), and mirror polished finish (Ra 0.2 μm). Custom secondary machining including threading, drilling and special profiling is also accessible.
All production batches pass strict full inspections covering density testing, chemical composition analysis, dimensional precision verification and mechanical performance measurement.
